Dougie Maclean

Dougie MacLean is Scotland's pre-eminent singer-songwriter and a national musical treasure” (SingOut USA) who has developed a unique blend of lyrical, 'roots based' songwriting and instrumental composition. He is internationally renowned for his song 'Caledonia', music for 'Last of the Mohicans' and inspired performances.

Greig Taylor is simply one of the UK’s finest male vocalists. It’s been suggested by some much in the same mould of powerful rock/soul singers such as Joe Cocker, Mick Hucknall and Paul Rodgers of Free.

The reality is, as flattering as the comparisons are, Greig Taylor a multi-genre vocalist whose talents have recently seen him recently perform alongside double-Grammy nominated US blues and soul artist Earl Thomas, whose songs have been performed by legends such as Etta James, Soloman Burke and Tom Jones. In November 2018 Greig performed with Earl throughout Eastern Europe during a three-week tour, which saw them earn rave reviews and standing ovations throughout with their 18-date tour with their vocal A cappella ensemble, The Gospel According…

The 2019 Sruighlea Sessions line up includes…

the mighty Chrissy Wilson who hails from Stirling with his gritty songs forged from the experience of living at the ‘Top Of The Town’; Scotland’s greatest busker, Matthew Gibb who performed at Stirling’s Hogmanay event in 2017; the up and coming Gordon James and the Power with an indie vibe hailing from Speyside, the whisky capital of Scotland and another of Stirling’s very own, Greig Taylor Blues Band who is one the UK’s finest male vocalists with his powerful rock/soul.
